Thankful Thursday: Corn Planting

Standard

Tiny corn plants emerging

  • This is the time of the year when I feel that our new year has truly begun.  Gone is the dormancy of winter.  The trees are leafing out.  Flowers are begining to set blossoms.  When the corn breaks through the soil, I know that spring is here, with summer on its way.  School is almost over for the kids and a busy summer of soccer games and fair calves will begin.  And for this, I am thankful.  I know that there is a promise of corn and alfalfa to feed our cattle with.  We only need to wait and pray for good fortune and weather.
